Appointments in Viatza

The Appointments section is built for both preparation and follow-up.

It keeps specialist details, symptom context, notes, attachments, and visit summary in one structured place so you can walk into visits prepared and leave with clear documentation.


Open the Appointments Screen

To get to this screen:

  • Open Home for the patient you want to work on
  • In Browse, tap Appointments

All appointments shown here belong to the currently selected patient.

Appointment List Structure

Appointments are grouped by status so it is easy to see what needs attention:

  • Upcoming: Future appointments you have planned
  • Due & Incomplete: Visits that happened or are in progress but still need summary details
  • Completed: Fully documented appointments

Use search when you need to jump directly to one specific visit.

Add an Appointment

Once you are in the Appointments screen, tap + to create a new entry.

When creating an appointment, you can set:

  • Date and time: When the visit happens
  • Specialist: Who you are seeing
  • Location: Where the visit takes place
  • Symptom records: Symptom records related to the visit
  • Notes: Past conditions, preparation details, or reminders
  • Files: Test results, insurance details or other relevant documents for the visit
  • Tags: Labels to filter and find appointments later
  • Summary: A quick visit recap you can fill now or after the appointment
  • Add to Calendar: Create a calendar event with a link back to the appointment in Viatza

You can save and preview the appointment, or tap Done to save and close.

During and After the Visit

Use the same appointment record before, during, and after the visit so all details stay in one timeline.

During or after the appointment, you can:

  • Update the visit summary with outcomes, decisions, and next steps
  • Take pictures of treatments or attach doctor records to the same appointment
  • Add follow-up notes while details are still fresh

This keeps care continuity clear and avoids scattered post-visit notes.
