Table of Contents

The Home screen is your daily dashboard.

It is designed to show the most relevant information for the currently selected patient so you can quickly understand what needs attention now and what can wait.

Contextual Sections (Smart Nudges)

The top sections on Home are dynamic. They appear when the app has useful context to show, and stay hidden when there’s nothing actionable.

Upcoming

This section appears when there is a future or ongoing appointment.

You’ll typically see basic appointment information like specialist, appointment date and time, and location. Tapping the card opens the appointment so you can review details or complete your summary.

Record Symptom

This appears when Viatza detects symptoms that were recorded in the past 7 days and the latest expected follow-up entry is still missing.

If a symptom has not been active recently, or the latest record is already present, this section will not appear. This keeps Home focused and avoids noise.

Tap it to quickly record the next symptom entry.

Today’s Log (Medication Schedule)

This appears when there are doses planned for today.

Browse

The Browse area is your main entry point into all core categories.

The number shown on each row is not decorative. It gives quick status context:

  • Medications: active (non-archived) medications
  • Symptoms: total symptom records
  • Appointments: saved appointments
  • Files: stored attachments/documents
  • Specialists: saved providers

Tap any row to open the full section.

Home search lets you query across categories in one place, including medication logs, symptoms, appointments, specialists, and files.

Because search runs in patient context, results stay relevant to the currently selected diary.

Patient Switcher

When multiple patients exist, switching tabs instantly updates Home content, counts, and search scope.

Why Some Sections May Not Appear

If you don’t see a specific smart section, it usually means there is no current action for that section (for example, no appointment due, no dose today, or no symptom nudge needed).

This behavior is intentional and helps Home stay useful instead of crowded.

Next Section
