- As needed
You can also choose how you want to be notified based on urgency:

Medication Details
The medication detail screen is the control center for one medication.
From here you can:

- Delete the medication and all related logs

Dose Timeline
The dose timeline gives you a quick view of taken and skipped doses.
You can switch the timeline interval to:
- Weekly
- Monthly
- 6 months
- Yearly
You can also select a specific range by long pressing on the timeline until you feel haptic feedback, then dragging to the range you want.

Log Doses
You can log doses from multiple places, depending on what is fastest in the moment:
- A medication dose row in Today’s Log from Home, Medications, or the medication detail screen
- As-Needed Dose when you take something outside the regular schedule
- A long press on a medication dose notification for quick actions
- Existing logs in the medication detail screen to edit time, amount, notes, or images
In medication detail, the log list at the bottom reflects the currently visible or selected timeline range.
This keeps daily tracking flexible while preserving accurate history.

Medication Dose Notifications
A medication dose notification is scheduled with the dose information and the medication name.
Medication Reminder Notification
When you tap the notification, Viatza opens the dose logging screen so you can confirm Taken or Skipped.
The same interaction is available on Apple Watch.
You can also long press a notification to quickly:
- Log as Taken
- Log as Skipped
- Snooze for 10 minutes

Medication Dose Alarm
You can enable an alarm for medication reminders.
At scheduled times, it rings like a system alarm and shows the medication title.
It can still alert you even when Do Not Disturb is enabled.

Medication Dose Critical Alert
For high-priority medications that must be taken at a specific time, use Critical Alert.
Critical alerts are designed for immediate attention and continue until you interact.
Like regular notifications, you can quickly log or snooze from the alert.
They can also alert you when Do Not Disturb is enabled.
Archive or Delete Medication
When you archive a medication, it and its logs are removed from your main active views.
You can archive a medication from:
- The medication detail screen (bottom actions)
- The full medications list

You can also permanently delete a medication and all related logs at any time.

Options
In Options, you can set the default notification type.
That default is automatically applied when you create a new medication schedule, so setup is faster and more consistent.
