What’s New in UnTask v26.11.19 📱

TLDR: The iPad layout on iPhone Duo, more of UnTask on Apple Watch, #tags and tag lists, suggestions as you type, archive, Siri and Shortcuts, Reminders-style subtasks, nine new languages, and UnTask Premium with a subscription or a lifetime purchase.

  • iPhone Duo — on the wide inner screen, UnTask uses its iPad layout, and it switches layouts smoothly as you fold and unfold the phone.

  • More on Apple Watch — check off your current task and move on to the next, add tasks, pick a tag list, and archive a task with a swipe, right from your wrist.

  • Tags — write #tags in a task’s title or notes, or tap the new # button in the notes toolbar.
  • Tag lists — show tasks that have Any Tag or all of the tags you pick, and choose Reminders lists from the same picker.

  • Suggestions — matching tags and existing task titles appear as you type.
  • Archive — archive tasks instead of deleting them from the task editor, and find them again under Archived Tasks.
  • Siri and Shortcuts — Siri shows a card with your current task, your shortcuts get the task as output, and UnTask’s shortcuts now run on Apple Watch too.

  • Nine new languages — Brazilian Portuguese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian and Swedish.

  • Long-press a task’s title or description to edit it right away.
  • Your current task now follows you when you change it on another device.
  • Long task titles wrap onto multiple lines, and Return closes the keyboard in the title field.
  • UnTask Premium — the free version holds up to 3 open tasks, and Premium unlocks unlimited open tasks, tag lists, Reminders mirroring and iCloud sync, as a monthly or yearly subscription with a free trial or a one-time lifetime purchase you can share through Family Sharing.

🐛 Fixes

  • Apple Watch no longer freezes while tasks sync at launch.
  • The Home Screen widget keeps your task when you switch between UnTask and Reminders lists, instead of going empty.
  • An Add Task shortcut no longer loses your task when UnTask wasn’t already running.
  • On Mac, tag and task suggestions now show up as you type a title.
  • Bug fixes and various other enhancements.
