Schedule & Track Your Drugs in Viatza
When we first began building Viatza, we always imagined it including medications. They’re such a central part of someone’s health that leaving them out never felt right.
Over the past few weeks we finally sat down to design a flow that feels intuitive for anyone — something simple, flexible, and calm. The scheduling part turned out to be surprisingly interesting. There are so many ways people take their medication, so we ended up supporting five clear types:
- every day
- cyclical schedules
- specific days of the week
- every other day
- and as needed
Viatza now handles all of these with ease. And because some medications are more important than others, we added the option to choose between notifications and alarms (on iOS 26). Critical alerts are on our list as well — once the system allows it, they will be available too.
To make sense of medication logs, a timeline felt like the clearest way to explore them. So we introduced a new medication timeline chart in Viatza. It’s powered by Swift Charts — an incredibly easy and flexible framework for building charts in SwiftUI.
We loved the result so much that we brought the same timeline to Symptoms, where it helps you see progressions far more clearly.
With these additions, Viatza grows closer to what we always wanted it to be:
a patient’s health book — simple, private, and entirely on your device. No ads. No tracking. No patient’s data stolen.
